Why do you charge for legal consultations?
Payment of the fee establishes an attorney-client relationship between attorney and the nurse. In the context of a legal consultation, although this is one-time meeting between attorney and the nurse, an attorney client relationship is established, the nurse receives counseling and advise on a particular matter, and attorney is paid for providing a valuable service to individual nurses.
On average, Ms. Wright has 5 to 30 legal, workplace, or career consultations each and every month with LPNs, RN, APRNs, nursing students, or NCLEX-Applicants who need legal information, advice, and counseling on a variety of situations ranging from professional boundaries to scope of practice to criminal issues to State Nursing Board investigations to probationary and suspended license questions.
My law firm represents, counsels, and advises individual nurses, self-employed nurses, and nurses in private practice. We also serve as Nurse Practice Counsel to HCOs.
